President Bush’s new executive order, Non-Cabinet agencies included in succession planning

Recent executive orders by President Bush have asked all agencies to participate in a formal succession planning process. Agencies are now drafting contingency plans and those with plans already in order will make the necessary changes and are asked to designate officials who would take over duties of the agency should the agency head resign or is unable to continue working.
