Jon Desenberg, PI’s Senior Policy Director, Discusses Federal Performance Metrics on Federal News Radio
The Performance Institute’s Senior Policy Director, Jon Desenberg, was recently featured on Federal News Radio’s “In Depth: with Francis Rose” to discuss setting successful performance metrics for Federal agencies. Mr. Desenberg emphasized that simply collecting data without a plan or definitive vision for mission success is impeding the government’s progress in performance management. He also added that Congress must play a bigger role in the process, as many government officials hope to see them use performance measures to make better budgetary decisions.
