International panel says U.S. has improved environmental performance

Department of Interior on Performance Measures for Protected Species
At The Fifth National Environmental Performance Summit, Fish and Wildlife Service Special Assistant to the Director Clint Riley delivered a presentation on the value of moving to a results-oriented organization. Specifically relating to performance measures for protected species, Mr. Riley outlined strategies for integrating a performance management framework and implementing activity-based costing/management. He also covered the significance of the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) and the President's Management Agenda (PMA) as it relates to protected species efforts.
