Mission
The Environmental Performance Institute (EPI) serves to promote results-oriented approaches for protecting and improving our nation's environment and its management of natural resources through the principles of performance, partnership, flexibility and innovation. Each year, over 3,000 individuals participate in various conferences presented by EPI and co-sponsored by leading environmental authorities. EPI is a leading national authority on performance-based outcomes and innovations in environmental reporting, management process redesign and technologies.
EPI presents ‘best practice’ case studies, while working to foster flexibility, management initiatives and successful public/private partnerships. EPI maintains close relationships, working with all levels of government, non-governmental advocacy groups and organizations, foreign governments and private business to highlight best practices, the latest innovations and successes in performance-based environmental policy and regulation. Through our expertise, EPI works to build consensus on emerging environmental issues and policy, as well as facilitating constructive dialogue to engage stakeholders, community organizations and to build partnerships.
EPI is at the forefront of bringing together ‘best practice’ examples showcased through our national summits and conferences; a peer-to-peer exchange of ideas, lessons learned, and case studies, which serves as an educational vehicle to bring solutions and innovative concepts to all who attend our conferences.
