The Government Performance Coalition

The Government Performance Coalition brings together more than a dozen groups and scholars with a primary focus on helping government achieve better results for the American people. Members of The Coalition work together to develop greater understanding of developments in the broad fields of results-based management and budgeting, including improving management of human capital in support of government's missions and goals. Coalition members support events to promote debate on the issues, help government leaders and staff improve their skills and knowledge, and in various ways, offer advice to government officials.

American Society for Public Administration
Since 1939, ASPA has been the nation's most respected society representing all forums in the public service arena. We are advocates for greater effectiveness in government, agents of goodwill and professionalism, publishers of democratic journalism, purveyors of progressive theory and practice and providers of global citizenship. The Commitee for Economic Development
The Committee for Economic Development (CED) is an independent, nonpartisan organization of business and education leaders dedicated to policy research on the major economic and social issues of our time and the implementation of its recommendations by the public and private sectors. CED has supported research and implementation of long-term improvements to government for more than 60 years. CED's 1999 landmark report Investing in the People's Business: A Business Report for Campaign Finance Reform, has played an important role in the effort to reform the campaign finance system in this country.

The Partnership for Public Service
The Partnership for Public Service works to make the government an employer of choice for talented, dedicated Americans through educational outreach, research, legislative advocacy, and hands-on partnerships with agencies on workforce management issues. The Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government
The Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, the public policy research arm of the State University of New York, was established in 1982 to bring the resources of the 64-campus SUNY system to bear on public policy issues. The Institute is active nationally in research and special projects on the role of state governments in American federalism and the management and finances of both state and local governments in major areas of domestic public affairs.

The Coalition for Effective Change
The Coalition for Effective Change (CEC) was formed in 1993 as a non-partisan alliance of 30 associations representing current and former federal managers, executives and professionals. CEC provides a channel for these public employees to contribute to the success of government management.
